Yeah, seen that but, $160 converts to around £102/103. I would guess tax and shipping to the UK would cost a bit but not £27 per unit. Wholesale is around $95/£61 so you're looking at a hefty markup paying £120 let alone £125/30.

There are stores selling them for £125 by the way.

thanks for the detail.

but it seem going for £130.

I bet that BRED 11 - for £150

Tax and shipping have nothing to do with UK price. Until this year Nike converted US price to £ for UK, but now they converts EURO price to £ for UK.

Plus there made in China anyway. If anything it must be cheaper to ship to the UK as we are closer to China. JB or the UK retailers are starting tn take the right piss with these prices!

Does this mean the site won't crash? Since US buyers will now buy in their own country?

It's the retailers, no question. I'll have a moan as we all do over here but people will pay for them, I will but don't agree with it at all. If you get discount fair play your getting the right deal. Be curious to know from a retailer what the memo from JB is with regards to UK pricing. Wishful thinking but would still like to know.

To be fair it's not just Jordan's, all models fluctuate up to £15 between the retailers over here. Made me laugh when I noticed the Adidas GS retro appear the other day for £95 and I remember back in 2005 paying £25.

Of course it's not the retailers. You can't blame them it will be cost increases from the brand. The margins will be the same for the retailers. Jordan brand announce the increase directly and set the rrp's.

What I cant understand or forgive is that the Fire Red IV is not far off double the price since the last time we saw it. How is that even possible? Quality is worse and getting hold of them is a total ball ache.

It's staggering when you take a shoe that is 17 years old and was 120 when OG and is still 120 today the air max 95.

it's disgusting

Why I blame the retailers is because the Miltary Blues were £110 at Hanon, £115 at UI, End were selling them for £129, & CT for £120, That's the difference between 4 stores, someones either being honest, f****d the pricing up or the latter stores are taking advantage. If JB are dictating RRP you would have thought they would be slapping someone over the wrists either way.

“if you dont know then you should know better”
The proper RRP after adding nikes suggested markup after cost without rounding up on the 4s is £125 and there will be one place with that price

it's inevitable

manufacturing and distribution costs are up so thats why we see increased prices, it's a simple knock on effect. the % margin between costs and rrp is always the same from nike so as the consumer is last in the pecking order, we see the biggest increases.

as we know the rrp is a guideline and imo, if they didnt 'recommend' an rrp we'd see much bigger price differences.

quality is mos def worse but i demand you retract your ball ache statement...

getting hold of them has never been easier... http://www.thedropdate.com/releases/nike-air-jordan-4-fire-red

It was pretty easy to get hold of the fires, was checked out in 2-3 minutes.

So Nike just give a RRP and don't mind if a retailer go with it or not? If it's anything like what I've dealt with in the past for technology some brands insist you stick to the RRP or you get your balls ripped off.

I can see that costs go up but being the s**t quality they are you woulda thought it JB and Nike have used below par materials and manufacturing process to keep the price down?

Yep same here - I would have expected it to be, as they're a GR.
Now for the 6/7 pack might be different matter altogether...

Of course NIKE will not simply allow people/retailers to take advantage on RRP.

I feel this is green light from them.

More HYPE, more controversy, more free publicity.

For those of you still sitting on the Fire Red IVs because of the price tag, you should look at www.soleheaven.com and use the promo code GBPROUD to get them for £90 delivered. I just got a pair of size 9s and am posting my other pair back to NDC tomorrow. Looks like they are going fast though. Almost a FSR earlier today.

Maybe just the pic, but those Olive's don't look right, pleather is way too shiny and the olive looks too light. Cue the usual Jordan-decreasing-quality-increasing-price rant from me.....
