They're fantastic looking, i just wouldnt give that money for a pair of munchens,

If they wanted to make a pair of west german kolns or athens then it might be a different story though...

Perhaps if they used a proper PU sole they might be worth the inflated price. As they stand, nah...

Shape doesn't look any different to the Size? ones.

Front stripe too long, hence front half is too high/bulky.

Like I've already said, I'm out.

Why do adidas not use the pu sole unit anymore? Is it because the material deteriates over time? Can someone educate me?:)

Im looking forward to these. Its the first time ive been a little excited about a release in a while, i have two sizes en route just to make sure they fit right but trying trainers on cant be beaten as we know. As said before on here and by mates that have original W.G ones a P.U sole would have just topped them off nicely but i suppose the 1:1 box and the fact that just 500 pair are to be spread very thinly around the globe make up for that. Ive heard whispers of other classics being made in Germany sometime soon,

BRING IT ON Mr.DASSLER.... We've been waiting.

For those that will moan about them for the next month, be careful what you wish for, theyve been made in their homeland with a nice box and priced higher to cover these things, cant see 498 pair lasting long :gossip:

Like I said, the shape is exactly like the 60 quid Size? reissues, they don't have a PU sole, so why in god's name would you pay nearly 3.5 times the price?

Obviously those buying two pairs will be looking to punt one on at a huge markup to pay for the other pair. Fair play if you can get a mug to pay more than the already ridiculous RRP.

there is definetely more in the pipeline with the made in germany route. As far as these go they are really nice and are as close as you are going to get. The box is a bit off from an OG but the idea is there. The real Adi heads will lap it up.Real nice package and although its not a shoe that would normally be in my range ive picked a pair up.

@ plissken, i was told by someone in Germany that these were small sizing, they turned up today and they were right, quite snug i got a 10 and 11 both fit tbh 11s fit nice 10s will do for the summer with no socks, no plans to sell them on (yet)

@ daviet, the boxes are a little different than the original ones, they are thicker and put together differently, they have the old style tissue wrapped round each shoe and an extra pair of laces in blue.

It's not about the sizing (they could have just labelled them all a half size smaller), it's the shape.

Seriously, check the pics above from the OG, and then tell me these are the same. Also, banana-tastic!

At least they have the correct tongue though, unlike the 'normal' reissues from Size? and now SnS.

So let me work it out then, they made in a german factory by a skilled german shoemaker then lovingly packaged by sed craftsman into an hand crafted cardboard box thats clearly marked made in germany?.As apposed to mass produced in a shoe making facility in china which is full automated and churns out in an hour what the german factory would take a week to produce and they of identical style/colour/build etc etc etc?.So for that reason alone they grossely inflated prices are justified? And If someone says the german built ones are better quality that means all other adidas shoes are infearior quality cos they made in china and adidas have knowingly been selling me and you poorer quality shoes for a very long time right?.....anyone who buys these are stupid and being conned by adidas who have jumped on the old school thing to feed you and me who live in the past................nuff sed....

Made in Germany doesn't necessarily mean made by Germans.

They could have just brought in cheap labour just the same.

I assumed that made in Germany meant that they were made with the old mould and machinery, if it's not the case well "made in Germany" means absolutely f**k all, they might as well have made them in my back garden.

OK, so I'm not a big fan of the Munchen but have been following this thread......

This release is fine, BUT the price if MENTAL!!! From what I can see your paying all that money for a box, a cardboard box!!!

For me this is like if Puma made a Clyde that said made in Yugoslavia on the insole, with an OG box. If the shoe is made from the current Clyde tooling then it's a TOTAL LOAD OF CRAP!!!
IF.........
Puma went back, completely re-modeled the shoe to the Yugo shape etc then yes, I can understand the pricing because putting that kinda work in costs money!

I really fail to see and understand the £180+ price tag for a box & "Made in Germany" written on them.

FOOLS!!!

From the CT store listing: "These fit a little small, so we recommend going up half a size."

Sizes stocked in the CT Store: 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12

So you have to pay £185 for shoes that don't fit properly.

Good work everybody.
