Adidas needs to realise it's not 2005 anymore. The last(?) 'Made in Germany' specials were the Rom '60, with a price tag of £150, but at least they were kangaroo leather.
Apart from the box, what makes these different (and worth 3x the price) to a normal JD/Size Munchen?
PU Sole? Lower profile shape? Higher quality suede? Mesh is mesh, so it can't be that.

I agree too, an extra £150 for a jazzy box is taking the Mick, but saying that if the quality is spot on I might be tempted!!

220 to 225 WTF I think it's time to address this as a number of people have done above what is making up that extra 160? What is my main issue with this is that we have had the 1st consortium pack all listed as faithful reproductions of the originals particlearly the 500 we have not seen the models reused in line or in other colour ups so production cost must have been all within the price we were assured that the products were clad in top notch materials even the skill in the dyeing process was pimped to us and all for a 100 ish price point and then what a 200 munchen a model produced in a number of colourways in just the last 12 months 2 current colour ways can be found in the store so the cost isn't in the lasts it doesn't seem to be in the materials as the tabla rasa pack surely demonstrates so I'm thinking that has to be one hell of a box frankly I think the price on these is a joke and someone at the consortium project needs there head looking at... As I have stated before I always liked consortium best when it was putting out models in OG or OGish colours that hadn't been about for a while like the campus 80 the Kegler the some of the city series and so on I agree with this issue but the price point should clearly be about 100 and I certainly won't be chasing a pair

Anyone know why Adidas have reduced the depth of the sole on the Grand Prix?
Noticed it last year on pairs in the Adi stores, the ObyO Beckham seem to have the same, and now these.
Puma did the same thing with the GV and f****d up a classic.

Went in for a look at the german c/w marathon 88's today and i have to say they look great but the quality on them is shocking, feels like you could poke through the material on the toe with a biten down fingernail, very disappointing, its putting me off getting them have to say
