Greetings,

I've been away a fair bit on a ton of other things but have just rolled out editing of posts for users. Obviously you can only edit (in theory anyway!) your own posts. Technically speaking any superuser accounts can edit any post but they wont see the actual button.

Apologies for the delay on getting that pushed out.

Just had a look, but I can't see that you can remove your own post completely (do to a total inability to post a picture for example). Would deleting the whole text do this?

I just edited my post twice. There isn't a full delete but that would probably be easy enough forked off from the edit code. Are you getting any errors? I take it you can see the form popping up to save it?

check edit in this post...

No worky for me like.

Ended up the the usual edit box that wouldn't accept spaces and regardless of content gave me a warning below that the box couldn't be empty.


EDIT: Ahhhhhh.

Scrolled way up and sure enough, there's the ajaxy edit box.

I'd be picky about GUI but functionality is all (apparently, due to all the noise about a lack of it).

Seems to be working fine for me, with no immediately obvious way to edit other people's posts (unlike all the old incarnations of the forum lol)... so it's all good! :)

It worked! Though I did find that after you've clicked 'Update' you can't edit the post straight away. The page needs to be refreshed, then it will work.

Edit: I lie, could click edit straight away there and it's worked fine.

I've just tried adding a picture to an edited link, but it didn't add it properly? Is that a bug. There wasn't the option to add a tag, it just posted the pic link with the wrong coding around it
