Honestly it's a great car & except for the engine totaly standard, used to be concourse, now it's, well it's f****d to be honest but it's still a great car. Got it when I lived at home up North (in the a**e end of nowhere), had it for years now but since it's been in London it's been rather neglected.
I do drive it around rather quickly though, I'll hold my hands up to that!
Its just funny for me beeing from germany that u uk heads are all into the golfs so much.
here ists just a standard family car with the occasional tuned version.
isnt tax an all that ridiciously high on those for the uk, esp. london?

There's still a huge VW scene in Germany & Austria, you guys really are the kings when it comes to modding Golfs.
Tax is OK, it's 1800cc so it's the highest tax (just under £200 a year or so). The insurance is stupid though, I'm not going to get into it but it's tons & will probably be more than the car's worth soon. I live in South East London so that helps too (not!).
It's such a good car though, the plan is to take it back to my parents where I can garage it & then strip & totally restore it over time, I never use it down here so it's just rotting away. G60's are getting super rare now so I want to get it sorted & take good care of it. Classic of the future!
mark 1 golfs are well sought after here, since you cant find a clean, non souped up version anymore.
yeah i think im gonna do that with my escort thats gonna be a classic for the future too, did i mention its got a spoiler

My Parents have a T-5, they're brilliant cars. It's the non-rear spoiler one, just looks like any other Volvo, got a dog gaurd in the back too, goes like a bloddy rocket!
You can really throw it about too, great suspension on them, not too hard but very sure footed, the engines good & the turbo's amazing, from driving a car with a supercharger I'd say that there's a bit of lag but not too much, very rapid anyway. Air con, leather (we've got the half leather version) every comfort you'd want, loads of room for your mates/luggage & capable of 155mph, perfect! But it's not a golf so it's not that good...

Don't know much about bikes (or scooters but I think we've worked that one out) but tis rather nice! What cc is it?
My mates got a Suzuki SV650 which is amazing, bikes are scary fast though, if I had one I know I'd kill myself on it.
