Bar the former salesmen in the office, we still don't know what constitutes 'Fall.' We're not ready to start learning either. We'd rather just call it Autumn. But the third wave of
Ransom by adidas is the best yet. The scope of this collection has always been grand, but this one seems even more expansive. In coming months we'll get the Sorel and 40 Below lovechild that is The Crest, but the partners have evidently structured today's drop for the transitional period where it veers between nearly-warm with a glimpse of sun and pissing it down for days on end. We've singled out a few of our favourites here in a Bank Holiday blitz of self-promotion.
Creeks stay healthy with a decent suede mix, the Bluff Mid's taken the boat shoe to ankle height in line with current trends, Curbs are pretty good, and a newcomer in the shape of the Strata offers some classic training style. Premium suedes, high gloss leathers, mesh and canvas is all present, and there's a fair balance between bright shades for the dandies and darker colours for us dullards. What looks like a scattershot approach to channeling the outdoors in terms of size is actually pretty calculated, and after sitting the range on the desk in its entirety for a mammoth re-lacing session (sadly we never took a snapshot) we were impressed by the variety and general quality of these designs. A grander approach to collaborating keeps paying dividends for team Herzo and team Toronto. We'll be upping more over the coming days, but they warrant a closer look.
