Because we're belligerent idiots when it comes to dealing with PRs, these models have an aura of mystery for us. We know the Superstars here fit into the Tech collection alongside some matching Nizzas and Sambas, but those Forums fit into the equation too somewhere down the line. The Superstars are cool and all, with that curious jagged white leather trim that gives them an air of the tribal flavour that's permeated so many Japanese designs lately, sitting in line with the shards that surround the 3-Stripes. In fact, it's one of the most original takes on the shelltoe in a minute - quirky without making us want to self-harm at the sullying of a bonafide icon. But the star of this duo, lifting further Tokyo styling is a banging Forum Mid.
There's more than a light dusting of KZK influence here - to be fair, that's certainly no bad thing, and just as the K-Ball Mid was a thoroughly decent release, these are strong too. With that pop of blue around the collar, the 'X' paneling remixed to be slimmer with matching jagged edges, nylon branding, mesh, suede and premium leather, plus white-on-white Dellinger webbing, they're an even classier release. Why? Because, capped off with printed logos, they manage to look clean, despite extensive levels of particularly creative tweaks in the mix.
