As tennis shoes go, the PUMA Tennis Comp Star is one of the good ones. Sturdy, dependable and well-designed, it's actually one of the strongest PUMA shoes we've seen in a while. The Undefeated Comp Star for Gumball was fairly slept-on in our humble opinion, still with the green fixation, but themed on Steve McQueen's Ford Mustang in 'Bullitt'. While we'll probably drink cyanide-laced Flavor Aid if we see another solemn WordPress post dedicated to McQueen's sense of style, that's a nice reference point, especially given the Gumball affiliations. This right here is the Comp Star in its basic form, and as a silhouette, it looks tremendous. Materials are good, with a leather, suede and nubuck blend, but details like that perforated toe and woven PUMA Tennis branding at the bottom of the mesh tongue add extra appeal. Free of any foolishness, or tagged-on attention-grabbers, what you're left with is a shoe that encapsulates a look that's uniquely PUMA. No-bullshit niceness. The office is split when it comes to opinions on racket sports—some love it, and others would slip into a coma during a 10 hour court skirmish—but we're all agreed that these are very decent indeed, and set for release soon.

”Pretty nice. I rarely buy Puma shoes, but their designers are making me think twice about the brand. Hard to compete with Adidas Rod Lavers though, I've probably owned 20 pairs over the years, never go out of style.
