Blue Suede adidas Superstar 80s

This blue suede adidas Superstar 80s is one of the first shelltoes to hush the office momentarily in a long time. In fact, we haven't seen so much localised (i.e. within our own four walls) hype over a shoe that should be readily available since the Superstar 80s made its return with the grey felt 3-Stripes. That was a classic. Really, how much can we write about this model? Superstar 35 might have left you fatigued after all that limited edition chasing, but we think 5 years was more than enough time to recover and rekindle your love of one of the greats. Like the All Star, Half-Cab, Suede and Cortez this shoe should never leave you burnt out. Put on the blinkers and ignore the hipsters. Laced correctly, and in the right colours, the adidas Superstar is perfection - competition is none.
If you lost your damned mind over the Neighborhood Superstar, and lost much of December 31st 2004 to it...ummm...you're gonna be happy later this year, but in the meantime, this beauty is sating our need for classy colourways. Personal prejudice means that a contrast shell isn't ideal, but a white/off-white sole unit stays winning. That's why a makeup like this is porn to us. We don't mess with excess padding, eyelets or the wacky nonsense when it comes to this shoe. We're inclined to believe whoever put this together was a fanboy (or girl) too. That suede is good quality, the little sticker in the footbed is a gloriously unnecessary but appreciated touch.
It's a lofty claim, just because there's so many variants out there, but this like Gang Starr (RIP Guru - eff Solar) is one of the best yet - sick, sick, sick. We aren't keeping a little list - we'd sooner panic just before Christmas, but these are immediate Crooked Tongues 'Best Of 2010' feature contenders. These drop in the Crooked Tongues store in July. Quality - I want some!!
