Nike Air Force 1 Hi Military image
The Nike Air Force 1 has been made into something more hardcore a few time before — there's been no end of wheat workboot variants that riff on the parallels between white-on-white Uptowns and brand new Timbs, with their one-wear-and-they're-ruined feel that necessitates constant restocks. After that there was a Baltoro hybrid variant (kind of underrated) and the LL Bean style duck versions. So we're not surprised to see these 'Military' variants, and after a more limited release of an 'XXX' anniversary edition in that familiar wheaty tone a few months back, we knew that there'd be another colour that parallels Bobbito's 2007 Timbo Field Boot canvas and leather mixes. This olive edition is actually decent. Yes, we're pretty bored of the epidemic of beefing up silhouettes to fit with an appetite for hikers, but these are decent. That angled collar, treated suede and coarser canvas heel tab, plus metal rivets rather than tired D-rings all combines to make these oddly desirable. Materials, comfort and an indestructible build are all nicely pitched and thankfully, there's no excess gimmicks (at least there's no Free sole unit in sight), resulting in a mix of two inner-city classics that arrives in the Crooked Tongues store very shortly...

They kinda do. The wheat pair were so much better. I think "decent" means "we have to sell this pish so lets be nice"!
