Great minds think alike, so the old saying goes. When this is applied to a sneaker collaboration, the mutual respect between two brands are there to create something of quality and in this case, something awesome. Saucony and fellow Massachusetts buddies Bodega, see their relationship continue to flourish as they again rework the footwear brand's Elite Master Control. It's a wonderful return for this runner to get another round of appreciation it deserves from Saucony's back catalogue. Notably on a personal level, this is a stronger output than the teamed efforts from the two back in May, which was simply a strong look.
The potential of the Master Control looks to be unlocked as a mix of bolder colours bring the model's clear 90's running aesthetic up-to-date in this make-up. An always welcomed warm burgundy, blue and tan are colour blocked onto a high quality suede upper. Subtle hits of grey even things out nicely, while clean detailing finish off the job with a perforated toebox and small tan accent there matching up with the heel, and a gum sole neatly does it.
Saucony's collaboration game is going strength-to-strength for all the right reasons - not just teaming up with any brand for the sake of a joint effort. This can only fill us with hope and expect more goodness from the brand in the new year. These Elite Master Controls are to drop in February.
