| 13 November 2009 | - PUMA Clydes for 2010...

It won't surprise you to see that PUMA are pushing the Clyde hard next year. If that news makes you fall out your chair in surprise, you've probably had your eyes closed for the last four years. But hold on there, because after seeing a preview of what's in store for coming seasons, we spotted some interesting G Vilas reworkings, Cabanas and other bits and pieces, but it looks like the Suede isn't going to be rinsed in coming months. Mr. Frazier's model? There's a few on the horizon. We'll commence with these, part of a themed set of models, which fu*k with the formula in a way that doesn't make us grimace. The grey suede upper works as well as it always does, but the addition of purple ripstop nylon Formstripe is a subtle addition that sure beats patent leather or another wayback rapper's pension fund...though a Kool G Rap Slipstream could've worked if the execution was correct. Apologies for the hip-hop digression.

Where were we? Oh yeah, the zig-zag stitching around the collar is tolerable too, and the fabric lining does its job. Having played with this very model numerous times all those years ago (2006 feels like a century ago) its a colour-up and fabric execution minefield, and those that love this model are some of the most devout fans of any design in the history of sneaker creation. If the modifications on display here offend those of a puritanical disposition, there's plenty more classical colourways on the way at the same time. Hopefully we'll have a few more shots early next week.
