Tying in with the launch of a 'Casuals' section in the store created to accommodate shoes that could hardly be considered athletic, while Erick and Parrish had some acceptance difficulties back in the day, we at Crooked heartily embrace the crossover.
We won't waste too much of your time trying to argue that this could ever be truly accepted as a sneaker, as it pushes that criteria out far further than anything Freizeit ever did, but it's an easy everyday wear that doesn't require the dreaded week of comedy walking that breaking in a pair of no-frills workboot can require, and the materials employed, whether it's the suede or tumbled leather variations, are of a particularly high quality. The 'Z' stitch that links each piece is subtle classiness in effect, and while adidas's glorious Fango green is the finest version, it's a mean Creek indeed on the strength of this tasteful debut.
