Annoyingly hard to come by, the New Balance collaboration with Crooked Tongues and Berlin's mighty Solebox came and went in the blink of an eye one evening in January 2005. To rub salt in the wounds, the shoe in question is the 1500, aka your favourite NB. With all those damn panels to play with, an incredible silhouette, incredible sole unit and a fit that's rightfully hailed as one of the best, how do you improve it? Well, you can start with a gum sole, mix burgundy with cement grey and blend suede with carbon to up the collaborative ante. Then you can limit them (really limit them - none of that claiming 1000 when it's more like 1,0000000000 nonsense) to a mere 50, so nobody can actually buy them. But here they are, so don't waste this second opportunity.
