It borders on cliché, but the Blazer really might be the definitive Nike shoe – a perfect palette for the Swoosh, fat belly or otherwise. This ankle-high masterpiece changed the game and aided in taking the court share from rival manufacturers. And truth be old, it isn't nearly as comfortable as the hi-tech ballers that followed, yet the looks make the blisters and scrapes entirely worthwhile. Working beautifully with a limited palette of two colours, Stüssy's 2001 option of throwing a neon Swoosh on a cool grey background seemed outlandish for their two takes on the Blazer. So outlandish in fact, that they inexplicably hit the sale racks. That is, until the sneaker buying populous snapped out of it and bought them all, making them a highly sought-after collaboration.
