Released in 1970, making for a pivotal piece of basketball history, the adidas Americana is a classic model. Most famously festooned in the ABA (American Basketball Association) red, white and blue, in a mixture of mesh and suede, we don't know why this is called the adidas Americana 88 (minor tweaks?), but that material mix is present here, with the American colours, suede and mesh in the mix. Like a lot of adidas shoes, we find these fit a little snug.
