The Nike Air Max Light has long been a favourite of ours, offering the middle ground between the Air Max 87 and the Air Max 90 on its 1989 release. The swooping ridged panel and dual density sole gave this shoe its own distinct identity and Nike Sportswear's Quickstrike Air Max Light Vintage gives this model some vintage styling, with a yellowed rear midsole foam, yellowing in the air unit, fluffier suede and a flatter silhouette. Do the real OGs look like this in the box? Not really. Is the end result wearable? Yes and they fit true to size, whereas we found the retro a little too snug.
