First released for Honolulu Marathon runners in late 1978 before an official release in 1979, the Nike Air Tailwind debuted Frank Rudy's Air technology on this long distance design. This Quickstrike version is made in the original materials (with the modified mesh after initial production problems back in the day) and colours, with that chunky midsole carrying the early iteration of the Nike Air unit. The difference between left and right shoe on these is barely perceptible, but the Tailwind reissue looks excellent and we recommend going half a size down for a perfect fit.
