Before the 1975 Nylon reworking that's more familiar to fans, the Nike Cortez was a BRS design that looked very similar to the Tiger Cortez that was also a Bill Bowerman design. This silhouette evokes the 1971 version with the heel tab and raised toe bumper, and they're a slghtly more slim, pared-down version of an old favourite. The Nike story pretty much starts here, and improbably, this model's over 40 years old, but it fits true to size. This is an NRG bit of history.
