The Nike Woven represents a milestone for the brand - initially ultra-limited, after Footscape and Rift markup madness, this was the next level - a trend piece, the collector pandemonium, high-end hookups with Comme and crazy resell prices set the '00s blueprint for the sneaker market and propelled Nike as a force to be reckoned with at all tiers. The Woven Chukka might have been given a lukewarm reception by those infatuated with the slip-on on its debut, but that comfortable fit takes well to the shape, and truth be told, we'll usually take laces over laceless.
