Carrying details from its Suede, States and Clyde siblings, but with some extra resilience via a leather upper (though there have been suede Baskets), the Basket is a weighty, stubby-toed, low-cut classic that still retains its clean, comfortable and stylish looks that haven't dated, or been rinsed by retro peddlers of irony. It's interesting to see how many minor tweaks PUMA made with the basic suede silhouette to birth an iconic collection of shoes that each stand alone as favourites long after they represented cutting-edge design. Classic stuff.
