Conceptually, Ransom by adidas has done the off-road thing, but for Spring, they've taken it dockside. Where last season only hinted at some less rugged looks with the canvas entries in the collection, the Bluff goes all out in the preppy stakes, down to that non-slip Sperry-style sole unit and a collection of shades that only nautical silhouettes can maintain without fear of mockery. That moc-toe, a sparing use of contrast stitch on select colours and some point-of-difference in the paneling means these can accompany chinos, shorts or denim when the sun finally emerges.
