Peter, Erik and the rest of the Sneakersnstuff crew (happy tenth birthday!) have channeled the power of Prince, Killa Cam in the Roc era, plus his Purple City buddies (word to Doe Boy Choch) or Project Pat and company, siipping on yurple drank and leaning to the sizzide combined to make one of the most purple items of footwear we ever did see. In truth, we don't know the direct inspiration. Stockholm's finest are, probably, like us, fans of this colour on any item of sports footwear. We like it so much, we can't comprehend how you could overdose on it, and SNS aren't ones to follow a formula when it comes to makeups, so they've pushed the monotone look to its eye catching conclusion.

With the Samba as the palette, this oft-imitated/'homaged' shoe, a pub/playground/student union/skate staple locally in its flatter, cheaper 'Super' indoor training version, is particularly attractive in this original shape, using a Spezial-esque sole, and originally designed with frozen pitch training in mind. If we can put youthful nostalgia to the side for a brief second, this may well be the definitive Samba shape for us, but it's an opinion that's certainly subject to change. Using mesh and that rubberised material that occasionally crops up on adi releases we have trouble naming, like yesterday's Superstar, tonal is the keyword here. The choice of materials bolsters the silhouette somewhat, and to cut through the single-shade, the option of some laces that inexplicably add green to proceedings, gold stitched 'SAMBA' lettering and white text adorning the tongue in favour of the Treoil, which, while we haven't Babelfished, but apparently discusses the shoe and adidas in Swedish. The Samba is set for a year, and this 3Way take is a perfect start.
