One of the best Vans designs to break from the usual classics, the Switchback captures the current workboot fanboy love almost as well as the Syndicate Sk8-Hi Jason Jessee makeups did last year. Launched as part of the Californication collection, the build is excellent, the toe cap detailing is hugely effective and materials are superior without compromising the mid-cut silhouette cool that represents much of what we love about the brand. This is the kind of model that's perfect for everyday wear season-to-season, and they look even better when they're broken in and beat. Great stuff, and an overlooked release.
