Nike keep on doing it right, and Kobe's had some memorable shoes over the years across brands. But often, seeing as they're dedicated performance pieces, the more technical basketball shoes, going back to the lightweight marvels of '96/'97, haven't travelled so well over here. We can respect the abstract outside-the-box approach to design, but if all shoes looked as strong as Mr. Bryant's fourth Swooshed installment, we'd be happier human beings.

Mid cut, and seemingly built in line with Kobe's 'Black Mamba' nickname, the Zoom Air, Flywire support, ribbed midsole details, printed branding and heel signature makes them one of the best shoes of the decade. They're comfortable too. And should you decide to play ball in 'em, they'll perform.
