adidas Zx 8000

Twenty years back, at a point when compressed Air had us fiending, distracted from the clean simplicity of a ton of classic adidas, the Torsion system came and took what the brand did best - sleek runners, and added supportive gadgetry to turn the spotlight back for a minute or two. For that reason, the ZX 8000 takes us back, and we're inclined to think they've aged a lot better than the majority of their tech war rivals. A textbook example of adidas at a creative zenith, at a time when most performance designs lack the minerals and vitamins, irons and the Niacin to be a spark in the memory cells, let alone be fondly remembered two decades down the line, this '88 silhouette looks even more timeless than ever. White leather, off-white nubuck and an open mesh is set off here with a blast of infrared pop and grey outsole. It feels like a straggler from the Beckham and Bond ObyO collection, but that's no bad thing. Fantastic.
